As the gorge begins, its two steep sides close in on each other in a narrow passage. Swimming in further, the river gets shallower, and waterfalls start to emerge fallings from the gorge’s narrow openings at the top, filling the atmosphere with aetherial light and rejuvenating fresh waters from the spring.

The excursion will start from Kourtaliotiko Gorge and end to Preveli Palm beach. In the summertime, we start our adventure with a refreshing dive in the waterfalls. Walking in the riverbed you will come across an abandoned olive oil mill and a Venetian bridge. At the end of our tour, we will reach the unique forest of Palm trees next to the river and the beach where you will have the opportunity to swim in the river or in the sea.

To participate in this activity, you must have a basic physical condition and know how to swim.
You need to carry with you a pair of sports shoes (beware that they will get wet), a hat, sunglasses, a backpack and a flask, light snacks, a swimming suit, and a towel.
